Was born in 1949 in Sukhumi (Abkhazia).
Lives and works in Moscow.
The son of avant-garde artist Nikolay Lozovoy. From 1960 till 1970 at father’s request was studying in private workshop of famous Russian avant-garde artist Varvara Bubnova. In 1977 defended a Ph. D. thesis on fine art psychology.
From 1980 till 2007 a lot of personal exhibitions in galleries and culture centers in Russia, Germany, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, USA and South Africa were held. Since 1980th the artists takes active part in joint exhibitions.
Founder and director of Slovo-Art gallery (Moscow, Russia). Since 1997 Alexander Lozovoy collaborates with famous British architect Tom Wilson.
Alexander Lozovoy invents his own technology of plotting and fixing colored pigments on canvas; the artist made a contribution to the old technique monotypia evolution.
Artist’s works are presented in Museum of Modern Art (Moscow, Russia), in private collections in Russia and abroad. He created paintings and panels for some Russian and foreign banks’ offices and for Russian House of Art and Culture in Berlin (Germany).
