Was born in 1963 in Leningrad (USSR).
Lives and works in St. Petersburg (Russia).
Was studying in A. Y. Vaganova Choreography College in Leningrad. Since 1978 started to paint in the studio of Igor Tulpanov – the rare professional in the “unofficial artists” sphere. In 1991 – 1992 was working on probation with Pontus Hulten in the Institute of Plastic Arts (Paris, France).
Professor of the drawing chair and the chair of fine art investigations in the New Academy of Fine Arts (Saint-Petersburg, Russia). Since 1995 heads the New Academy of Fine Arts’ investigations group that revives 19th century silver-free technologies of photo printing. Relates to the movement New Earnest.
Takes active part in fine arts exhibitions. Artist’s works are presented in State Russian museum (Saint-Petersburg), in Pierre-Christian Broche’ collection (Russia - France), In Pompidou Center (Paris, France).
