Биография

Was born in 1960 in Ukraine.

Lives and works in Kiev.

Graduated from Kiev State Fine Arts Institute. The member of Ukrainian Union of Artists. The member of “BG-Art” union. In 1996 – the Ukrainian “Golden section” prize-winner, the artist of the year (1st  International Arts Festival, Kiev). 1998 – took the first place in Ukrainian Art Triennale (Kiev).

Takes active part in fine arts exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. Personal exhibitions were held in the club Lynos (Germany) in 1992, in T. G. Shevchenko Museum (Kiev, Ukraine) in 1997, in the gallery “36” (Kiev, Ukraine) in 1998 and 2001, in Municipal Art Gallery in Kharkov (Ukraine), in Institute of Ukraine in USA (New York) in 2004 as well. In 2005 in New York the exhibition of graphics by Mykola Zhuravel dedicated to occurrences on Square of Independence in Kiev was held. In 2006 within the presentation of art-project Apairy on the 52nd Venice Festival of Modern Art the personal exhibition of Mykola Zhuravel’s works was held. In June 2009 personal exhibition of Mykola Zhuravel Russian Art Fair was held in London (Great Britain).

Works of Mykola Zhuravel are presented in private collections and in Center of Modern Art Soviart (Kiev, Ukraine), T. G. Shevchenko Museum (Kiev, Ukraine), Fine Arts Museum (Sumy, Ukraine).
